Abstract
Puberphonia is defined as a voice disorder exhibited by male speakers producing a high-pitched voice after the puberty even though their larynx have already grown and been ready to produce a deep mail voice. In such case, individuals encounter several social, professional, and emotional problems. Puberphonia patients are currently treated by behavioral voice therapy technique such as manual manipulation and muscle relaxation technique. This study attempted to determine the effects of a symptomatic voice therapy utilizing vocal fry in 3 puberphonic patients. A total of 16 therapy sessions along with homework assignments were delivered, twice a week for 2 months. The results showed a significant decrease of their vocal pitch(p<.05).
